I know firsthand that it's never too late to start your healthy journey. At Beyond Fitness, I share my own late-start personal healthy journey story to inspire you to believe that a healthy journey can be real and that doing things you never thought you could is possible.
I grew up in a family where food equaled deliciously great times! So I love everything about food—eating, tasting, enjoying, entertaining, and cooking when I have the time!
It's no surprise that all that eating and not moving caught up with me, and after becoming a mom in my late thirties, I found myself overstressed, overeating, desperate to feel like my old self again, and fighting to stay off blood pressure meds (lovely hypertension family history). I ended up living the rollercoaster life for years, searching for the "one," the perfect diet, or the perfect exercise. Getting on the wagon and falling off the wagon
Now in my forties, with two babies, declining health, and no longer employed in the corporate world, I decided there had to be a better way to live life, and that was the beginning of my journey and my passion to find healthy living that was simple enough for me to do consistently but not perfectly.
I was struggling to get off the couch and back in shape. Unlike many people in the fitness industry, I didn't grow up loving exercise. As a matter of fact, I wasn't even interested in the health and fitness industry until I turned 40! But I knew I needed to make a change to reclaim my health, and that's when my journey began.
Through my own experiences, I've developed a simple 4-step method that is not about adding stress by following complicated diet plans or exercising, but about lowering stress by making eating and movement simple. I have seen many of my clients amaze themselves, and there are very few things in my life that are more rewarding than that.
